About Old Smokey:

Drive on Lick Creek road (past slickrock) all the way to Lick Creek Summit. Continue as the road loses elevation and begins to switchback. You wander through a large boulderfield then come to a long straight stretch that drops sharply on the right. Park where the road cuts through an enourmous and steep scree field. Old Smokey is directly across from you. Very clean looking and punctuated by two large parallel cracks. Hike down the left side of the Talus and head towards the formation. Worth it!
