About Trail Creek:
Quartzite crag along the road near Trail Creek Summit (the busiest road to nowhere in the continental US) |
Nearest town or city: | Sun Valley |
Directions: | From Ketchum, head through Sun Valley and continue up toward the summit. The road will turn to gravel and you will pass a sign (shot up) warning you it's one lane with pullouts. Park at the first large pullout on the right. Diagonal up hill on a faint trail or walk up road a bit further to find the trail to the Lower Crag. Passing this large pullout you will reach a small pullout on the left next to a small rock outcrop (with anchors on top). Here you will be parked directly below Muscle Beach (slabs at base) on the left and Red Arete on the right. |
