Flaming Rock
About Flaming Rock:
Flaming Rock is a large granite intrusion that has routes on both sides. Steep vertical climbing in the shade is a definite attraction. In addition Raindance features 5.6/5.7 slab climbing for two long pitches. A short approach (downhill) starts near campground 30. After about ~200 yards the trail splits to the right, and to the left allowing the climber to approach either side of the crag. Take the left route for steep vertical climbing in the shade, or the right for Raindance and Rodeo Girls. |
