Long Haul
About Long Haul:
Pass the first bouldering sites on Clack Mountain Road. Drive about half a mile and on the left there are a few boulders then a huge monolithic rock a few hundred yards long. |
Approach: | If you just want to get on top for a rap drive or walk all the way to the end of the rock. The ascent is elementary; one problem on a positive surface with some pinches on top-8 or 9 feet up. The entire top of this formation is an ocean of briars. It took me quite a while to navigate the length of it. If you are interested in sport climbing there are a few bolts, but I cannot swear to their integrity. |
