About Maine:

Maine: The way life should be. This cliche found throughout the state truly sums up this magnificent state. Not only packed with spectacular scenery, and peaceful vacation areas, it has many \"hidden-jewel\" climbing areas. The state also boasts to be the home of the great climbing master Dave Graham.

Acadia National Park is the eastern-most national park in the country and definitely one of the best. It\'s an awesome place to explore, make memories, vacation, and do some serious climbing while surrounded by the breathtaking scenery.

Baxter State Park is the terminus of the Appalacian Trail and home of Maine\'s tallest mountain , Mount Katahdin. The park and mountain boast some superb climbing and are worth the trip.

Although many climbing areas are nestled far north and Downeast, it\'s most definitely worth the drive. If you\'re flying your best bet is Bangor International Airport: the closest and most convenient in relation to the nearby climbing areas.
