About Ocean Lookout:

Metamorphic, southwest facing, 150' tall, cliff band with sweeping views of Camden harbor and Penobscot bay. Mostly trad routes with the occasional bolt and a few fixed anchors. At the right end of the crag is a headwall with a left-leaning handcrack, and just left of that is a white quartz buttress. Continue left for the real gems, which are several nice vertical to slightly overhanging cracks ranging from 5.9 to aid/project status, with most in the 5.11 range.
Approach: Any one of several trails within the Camden Hills State Park. Shorter approach requires paying to enter the park. The longer version is good cardio training, but involves a 2 mile hike. Once you reach the crag, bushwhack from the trail 50 meters in to the base.
