About Fort Williams:

Fort Williams is located within the Portland Head Light Park at Ship Cove. For the history buff the fort itself is cool to check out. Ship Cove itself is very pretty with a gravel beach leading into sandy waters. The climbing is located on a couple of short granite walls along the southern shore of Ship Cove across from the Fort. The Davey Jones Wall, the larger of the two walls, has several top rope problems that are worth while. The Short Wall is located just 100 feet further south at the tip of the cove.
