About Greek Wall:
| This area is directly opposite Dr. Needlepoint on the VA side. The climbs here are of good quality and hardly see much climbing, but there is a lot of foot traffic up top due to the Billy Goat Trail. The climbs here average about 30 feet. |
| Approach: | Along the Billy Goat Trail on Bear Island, approx one mile from either the visitor center or the Old Angler's Inn Parking area, are several faces, buttresses and large corners. Approach this area by following the tow path to the trail 100 yards downstream from the lock at the upper end of Widewater. Take this trail west to the river. Hike the Billy Goat trail untill you come directly opposite of Dr. Needlepoint. Descend via a 4th gulley on the upstream side of the cliff face. |
