About Spitzbergen:

Spitzbergen (also known as AAU) is located 3/4 of a mile from the Old Angler's Inn Parking Area directly across the river from Cow's Hoof.
Approach: To reach spitzbergen from the Old Angler's parking lot, hike to the C&O canal for about ten mins. When you come to a large body of water make a left onto the Billy Goat Trail and hike for about 30 mins. It is about twenty feet off the trail and is directly across from the "Cow Hoof" climbing area.
