About Talus Pile faces:

On the west side of the quarry there is a huge talus/rubble pile, 50-60 feet high and about 200 feet long, made up of irregular blocks (the unwanted talus from the quarryinfg operations) which range from washing machine to car-sized. facing the water-filled quarry, the talus was stacked into two vertical faces, one with a sharp arette, each over 30 feet high, possibly 50 in spots. These faces are vert to slightly overhung, ,and provide enjoyable and easy freesoloing, highballing, top roping, and even trad leading. These easy faces are great for training new climbers. The talus arette is reminiscent of ancient castle ruins.
