About Main Cliff:

50 foot high cliff on the west side of Route 1 or 1A (or maybe 127 or 127A) just north of Gloucester. The cliff is within 100 feet of the road and quite obvious. There is/was some sort of commercial warehouse type building to the left (south) of the crag maybe 100 yards. The cliff is fairly steep but very dirty. We scrubbed and climbed a half dozen or so routes on this cliff in the late 70s. There were crack and face climbs of moderate difficulty. I'm sure there's room for some modern routes assuming it's still legal to climb there. I was by the cliff in the winter 3 or 4 years ago and it looked as dirty as the day we first saw it, so I don't think it's popular at present.
