Description:

Loose climb acends the Arete for 4 pitches to the walk off ledge. Or continue 2-3 pitches to the top.(5.8-5.10) Fun route with marginal to good protection. Being comfortable climbing on 5.6-5.7R helpful. There are so many options to climb on the arete and therefore a bunch of loose stuff. The upper two pitches before the walk off are short, maybe 100' but have the best pro on the route. Carry your gear/lunch/shoes with you on the climb as the walk off puts you about 1/2-3/4 mile from the start of the climb, as well as a few hundred feet lower. It is possible to rap into the backside gully as well. Wear a helmet and check all placements. West Face slabs start rated 5.9R

5 out of 5 stars No sweat, just took a while to find

roughly 45 minute approach. main trail, cross bridge, take left, 10 minutes later you will go right on the approach trail. Keep going until you see the gully, go half way up and there will be a great ledge with a C4 cam stuck in the rock. Great placements all the way through. Can be soloed except for one small segment. I used my C4 #1s the most. Easy climb with solid belay stations. I walked out the back which was COMPLETE HELL! super loose and tick paradise, 50+ easy. I would recommend rapping off. Great rock quality some loose rock, helmets a must. Enjoy hope this helps. not rated "R" maybe "PG" at the most

GREAT SCENERY!!!
