Far up the south fork of Black Velvet Canyon, past the Velvet wall is a large ridge that creates the fork in the canyon- this is Corduroy Ridge. Going left at this fork takes you to Western Spaces while going right takes you to the large slab that forms the north side of the ridge. There is ample opportunity for new routes here and this area is also home to a classic slab route- Sick for Toys.
Approach: As per the Black Velvet Wall until you reach the top of the dry falls. From here, step right into the drainage and head up the canyon. When the canyon forks, head to the right and the routes will be on your left hand side. Beta/Updates: |
