Description:
In a large alcove, there are two crack systems. The one on the left that runs up the middle of the roof is Scalawag. (See page 20 of Swain). Pull the roof, then follow the crack up to the X. The rappel anchor is just above a small ledge system. (A strap with 2 rap rings)

great route.. handren's recommendation for triples in certain sizes is overkill. you need maybe three or four hand to fist size pieces to protect the start of the route -- i placed three and backcleaned one (wasn't sure what was above). after the roof is a great low-angle hand crack on easy terrain. i didn't spot any rappel rings (didn't know there were supposed to be any), lowered off the communal anchor to the right, and climbed the route again to clean my gear.
