Just to the right of Black Dagger is a prominent crack system splitting the wall- this is Cat Scratch Fever. Start at the base of an obvious crack system 100' right of Black Dagger. Pitch 1: Climb the crack straight up through a bulge to a bolted anchor below the first roof. 5.7, 150' Pitch 2: Step right to the roof and climb the crack up for about 30', then step left when an easy traverse presents itself. Climb the crack to a good ledge about 150' up. 5.8, 180' Pitch 3: Climb the crack until it ends, then step to the right and climb to a good stance underneath the second roof. 5.6, 180' Pitch 4: Climb through the roof and follow the crack until it ends at a good ledge and belay. 5.6, 180' Pitch 5: 4th class straight up for 100' to the summit.

Descent Options:

Follow the cairns to the Gunsight gully, which will bring you back to the base of the route.

4 out of 5 stars really good.

lots of fun- fairly mellow climbing on decent rock with good gear. the #3 and #4 camalot are nice to have. a good alternative if for whatever reason Black Dagger is crowded.
