Description: The mammoth east face of Mount Wilson is home to many routes, all of which require a huge amount of commitment and a sense of adventure. The main face is separated into two halves by Willy's Couloir, the gully that reaches up to Sherwood Forest, the large ledge halfway up the main face in the center of the wall. This section will cover those routes which sit to the right of Sherwood Forest.
Approach: Approach via the Oak Creek trailhead, heading toward the Wilson Pimple when possible. When on the west side of the Pimple, head up onto the plateau in front of you. Near the center of this area, you'll find a cairn. This cairn is the start of the climbers trail to the climbs. This particular trail leads you directly to the base of Resolution Arete. Other routes in the area can also be accessed from nearby.
