Mud Spring Wing
About Mud Spring Wing:
| Sitting on north side of the canyon, this crag faces south and east, making for good fall climbing. The classic route of the area is the Schwa, a beautiful crack climb, but the other routes in the area look just as good! |
| Approach: | Park at Black Velvet, then follow the trail toward the canyon, turning left at the sign. Walk for about half a mile until you come to a large boulder. From here, bushwacking and routefinding take you up toward the crag. Work your way up slightly before an obvious drainage, crossing it low, then head up the south side of the drainage on a faint trail system to the base of the crag. |
