Angel Food Wall
About Angel Food Wall:
Description: Angel Food Wall is the predominant multipitch feature in the White Rock Spring area. A 700' white, crack filled face rests up against the jumble of rocks that makes up the separation between White Rock Spring and Willow Springs. This wall is home to almost a dozen high quality multipitch routes, although all but three have disappeared into the history of Red Rocks.
Approach: Head down the trail to the fork, step left and continue down the trail to the cairn on your right. Drop into the wash, cross it, then head west toward the wall, moving north after a while. After some scrambling, you step left and head up the steep red hill to the base of the routes. A path wraps along the base at about 20' below the wall. At the top of the trail is another trail that heads to the wall, this is for Tunnelvision. The rest of the routes start further to your right.
|Approach:||From the main parking area, continue (in your car) down the gravel road and find parking near the trailhead. Take the Willow Springs trail to the south until you see a narrow climbers trail that goes down into the wash area, continue West past the group of small boulders then try to follow the red sand trail to the foot of the crag. Keep an eye out for the small stacks of rocks, they serve as a guide. Use them to make sure that you stay on trail.|
