Route Summary | Ascent Notes (1)
Susannah Labaron & John Gonzales (4/93)
Start with a static pull or dyno past the 1st bolt to a large horizontal 5 feet right of the wide crack. Climb positive horizontals and flakes up the gently overhanging orange face past 4 bolts. The final moves to the top utilize a sharp sidepull and edges. The rating is 5.9 if you grab the right edge of the crack to the climbers left. 2 bolt anchor on top, not rigged for rappelling.
Walk off east and scramble off the back. Work your way to the north and around the north end of the Aviator Wall formation.

No Fly Zone is an excellent, gently overhanging route. The protection is good, with large positive holds in horizontal features. Lots of excellent footholds. The moves feel committing, and pumpy, but the 4 bolts are preciously where you need them and solid. No Fly Zone may be 5.10a once you rehearse the moves and/or have the beta, but seems more like 5.10c as an onsight. This was my second time up the route in ~ 10 years. A long way from home.
