About Boott Spur:

Long East reaching ridge South of Tuckerman Ravine. Three prominent crags exist at the upper reaches of Boott Spur. The lowest/easternmost of the three is called The Cathedral. The second is not named and the first and largest is known by the skiers line bisecting it: "Dodges Drop"
Approach: via Boott Spur Trail (BST) There are 4 crags. The smallest is .2 mile above jct of Boott Spur Link (BSL) reach the unnamed crag 150 yards North, scramble down to base along E side. Reach Larry & Moe crags further along the BST at .4 mile and .55 mile above the BSL. East Side scrambles for both of them. In both cases the goods are best seen by passing the lowest point before starting up. Reach the Curly crag from the rocks onb the North of the BST about 150 yards past the hightpoint of the BST. Rap-in is best from here. Curly can also be reached from the stream bed in the Hillman's Highway. Get past a 30' cliff in the stream and above the subsequent mossy chute before starting the difficult bushwhack. It is tought, but it is much faster to reach the base of Curly this way.
