Description:
Considered one of the best routes at Rumney. To access the climb, scramble up the low angle slab to the left of the route, using a fixed rope. Belay from above the boulders (belayer has an anchor bolt), climbing the first portion of the Crusher (11d, but the first part is only 10ish) up and right to gain the ledge below Predator. Belay from double bolts. Suprisingly tricky to get off the ledge, then some moderate climbing to get up to the overhand. From there, its sustained, pumpy, climbing up the intimidating belly of the beast. Mantle above the anchors to get full credit. You can lower back to the ledge by trolleying (you will have to pass your trolley draw past the fixed draws). Or the climber can lower all the way to the ground with a 60m rope and the belayer can pull the rope and rappel. Currently, all draws on the route are fixed, except the first one (which can be unclipped from the ledge).
