Chiminey rock is actually in the south central section of new jersey. The part of chimney rock described has no good climbing; there is another part of chimney rock with better climbing not great but alright (good for after work or can't make it to the gunks, or stover) head up chimney rock road (take exit 22 east off 287 then take first jughandle to get onto 22 west take 22 west to chimney rock road after a small bridge and sharp corner there is a pull off park there head up trail rock to the left)
