4 out of 5 stars Notes on Brazos climbing from old new mexico fart

Cat Burlglar is a 4 pitch climb, not 12 ! and I believe it's generally considered 5.8. Fun stuff, but run out here and there but then again, it's the Brazos.

Suspect these folks have confused Cat Burglar (seperate spire) with easy ridge perhaps ? (12 pitches on Easy Ridge means a lot of 3rd classing however.

Cat Burglar is quite clean, but Easy Ridge has lots of objective danger in the form of very (VERY) sharp blocks.

the real climbs to do are up in the Box proper (Foolish Pleasures, 8-9 pitches if comfortable 3rd classing 500ft of 5.6, then 8-9 pitches of mostly 5.8-5.9 with some 5.10, awesome climbing, lot's of exposure !

Then there's the Wedge with some real serious stuff (7-8 ?) pitches of R/X 5.11 level stuff. Woo hoo ! Not for the faint of hear are the Brazos. I'm done there I believe, with the exception of Cat Burlgar which goes to a seperate summit.

PS - On Easy Ridge, we certainly did some moves of 5.9 here and there, but then we were seaking out the steeper cracks on occasion, and there's the AWESOME Doug Bridgers first pitch (5.10 X)
