Description:

RAD starts at the prominent base of the chimney (top of mountain), not at the bottom of the east wall. To the right of the Chimney Scramble about 15 feet lies an overhang 7 feet off the ground. Surmount this overhang and continue up and left to the predominant "eagles head". The belay you will set up 8 feet beyond at the apex of the chimney. Large cams desired. The crux is the overhang at the bottom!

Descent Options:

Chimney Scramble (Class 4), Down climb RAD

4 out of 5 stars Rad = Rope Drag

Great, yet short route up the Chimney. Varied types of stone along the way including very soft sandstone.
