About Long Pond Cliff:
| This 80' to 150' remote crag rising above Long Pond offers perhaps some of the best undeveloped rock in the southern Adirondacks. This is a true wilderness rock-climbing area. This is a nice crag for a 2-3 day trip with some canoeing and kayaking and a nice Adirondack hike. Just a few miles to the north of the Long Pond cliffs is the area of Kings Flow. Home of Chimney Mountain. |
| Nearest town or city: | Indian Lake |
| Directions: | Canoe across Indian Lake to John Mack Landing and follow the 3 mile trail to the Long pond. If you prefer to bushwack, simply boat to the end of the bay and walk upstream along John Mack Brook. This cuts about a mile off the trip that otherwise is a 3 miles jaunt. |
