About Whiteface:
| The climbs here are located in Wilmington Notch, the narrow, Glacially carved pass through which Route 86 connects Lake Placid and Whiteface Moutain. The towering cracks of Moss Cliff, the friendly slabs on Notch Moutain, the wild exploration of Olympic Acres-all bespeak the variety this region has to offer. Camping, motels, and supplies can be found in both Lake Placid and Wilmington, and there is a state campgroung right at the Notch itself. |
