Don't let the name fool you, this is not a "Climbing gym" it is an athletic gym with a small wall. (30' High 14' wide) The feature of note is the "auto belay system." An Enterprise wall with one fairly flat side, and one with featured panels. There are two ropes (autobelay, which is good because there is frequently no one there), one for each side. It sometimes seems random where they put the holds. As a result, it's not always so good for beginners. People have told me that when they watch the wall, they don't see many reach the top. There are a few hard core climbers at the gym, but it sounds like they only use it for practicing their technique. Located near the ditmars stop on the N (22-15 31 street).
