About Near Trapps:

Second most popular cliff at the Gunks...anywhere from 40 to 200 feet tall. The north end is the most popular, but there are some good routes farther down the cliffs. To approach, go about 100 yards downhill from the bridge and find the trail that runs along the base of the rock. Walk around either end of the cliff or rap from trees on the shorter sections to descend.

Routes are in order from South to North (left to right) with route numbers corresponding to those in the Williams Guide. If you add beta please use the route number from the Williams Guide. For variations, use the number of the route associated with the variation. If you do not have the Williams' Guide, just add the route as 0 and it will get reordered. Do not just add blank routes with no beta!

Access Issues: Current as of April, 2009: appx. 150' of cliff south of Eenie Meanie is off limits, including the track below the cliff! To access the routes beyond (south) of the posted area, rap in from the Millbrook Ridge Trail.
