4 out of 5 stars Came back to do it again!

First trad lead after shoulder surgery Sept. 2009. Nice climb, kept me thinking how to do it smooth and easy to protect the shoulder.

4 out of 5 stars Gets harder as you go up

Easy climbing to the first tree and ledge, then turns into a 5.6. Last face above 2nd tree was a bit awkward and thin. It was intimidating for the leader who normally leads up to 5.9, but was rusty from lack of climbing. My regular partner lead the last pitch in fine style.
It's a long walk from either parking lot, but a nice little climb when the rest of the park is full of climbers. Excellent view of Skytop from the 2nd tree or the top. The rap tat looked ok, but we decided to descend via Roger's Escape Hatch because I had never done it and my partners thought I should know where it is. Next time, I'll rap. A fresh layer of pine needles and fallen leaves made it one slippery descent.

A nice route. Relatively sustained climbing, hard to pick out a crux. Beautiful location with a nice view of skytop.
