This route is located in the smaller amphitheater found just before you reach the main one that has Golden Earring, etc. It's on the arete nearest to the amphitheater area. Wander up the crack and horizontals trending a little right until you can hook back left and wrap around the arete to top out. Continue up easy 3rd class with a few short 5th class sections through the lichen forest up to a good sized tree to build a belay. Be careful with your gear slinging as you wrap around the arete to avoid rope drag!

Descent Options:

Walk off or locate a rappel. To walk off, navigate up and right to hike around the first large gully (may be possible to scramble down here, not sure) and make your way to the easier gully that connects the main amphitheater trail with the Meat Puppet cra

2 out of 5 stars A bit harder than it looks.

A bit overhanging and fiddly pro makes this a little harder than it looks from the ground. Maybe I was just feeling the burn as I futzed with my gear though, so it may well be not such a big deal on a subsequent attempt. Nice moves through the vertical section and really nice to hit the thank god jugs around the corner. Pretty sustained for the grade and a bit pumpy but worth a romp. It's over once you turn the arete and top out the first wall. You probably just need a few more pieces after that for the occasional move on the "hike" to the tree.

Tops out pretty near the Meat Puppet crag so it's a nice way to shorten the hike (go up and slightly to the right, although we could see it through the trees) Just bring your shoes, water, etc!
