Description:
To the right of the Amphitheater section, the right half of the tall gray wall has a large bulge on it: two bolts there show this route, and are the crux. Going right using the dark flake area and reaching over to those bolts is the usual 5.9 line. Leading straight up the first two bolts is much harder (see "Black Rain Direct"). Top-roping to the right or to the left are 5.8 variations.

Lead this the other day and thoroughly enjoyed the excellent exposure and humorgous juggy holds! I would rate this 5.7 honestly. Be careful when clipping into the shuts up top, all you have are large slopy sidepulls to hold onto while clipping, and one of our friends just broke his leg taking a lead fall doing just that. Bummer! The ledge will F you up!

Great Climb!
This is one of my favorite warm-up routes at Pilot. For the beginning leader, you may want to stick-clip the first bolt, because it's a little dicey! Great holds as long as you stay right. Newly bolted!
