About Howard's Knob:

Howard's Knob is CLOSED TO CLIMBERS.

This was an early bouldering hotspot in the Boone area, but it has been closed for several years. The Access Fund and local groups have mobilized to acquire the land; however, the landowner is hoping to sell to a developer, which would likely mean destruction of the boulders.

If you visit the Boone area, please do not attempt to climb at Howard's Knob. Instead, try Blowing Rock, Grandmother, Lost Cove or the 221 Boulders.
