The North Carolina Wall
About The North Carolina Wall:
A great place to find some adventure... it has more than it's fair share of it. The trails are typically in horrible shape due to the small amount of traffic that the area recieves, though it's still a very worthy destination. There are many ways down to the base. There is the Apricot gully at the north end, the Mossy monster gulley in the middle, and plenty of other ways to 3rd class or rap down (it ends at the top of the first pitch crack of "Zagger"). These are too difficult to describe here so go exploring. However it is worth mentioning that the large ledge system found at the top of the Bumblebee buttress actually diagonals most of the way down. A couple rappels will get you the rest of the way. |
