Description:

F.A. Terry Andrews, John Pincha (1984). Route climbs dihedral that starts on a ledge system about 20 feet north of Power Series. At the top, belay either below the crab eye or proceed up and on top of the northern crab eye. This is so cool!!!

5 out of 5 stars although i did the first ascent of this

back in the mid 1980s, i found the crabeye finish around 2002. i already had an anchor at the top of power series..so i just tossed a rope up to the top of the eyeball so i would have an anchor. all i can say about the move over the eyeball is that it is one of the weirdest and scariest moves ever..even with great pro just below you.

led this baby as far as the crab eye, contemplated surmounting it but backed off. Still, I finished the original line. Will go back and get the eye itself, though. Got a plan.

Pawley followed up easy.

Not sustained. A tough move or two at the beginning, then easy climbing to the top. Still fun though, as every climb is fun to me.
