Description:

Walking toward the falls, pass Casual Corner on your right (big corner with a tree), then one more corner, then a ramp going up. Up-ramp a ways you'll see an orange face below small roof. This is the line- turn the roof over small gear and then pick a line going up. Gear is sparse and questionable. Rusting piton attests to earlier efforts in the area. Several possible lines though, so I'm declaring an FA for Sean, until further notice. Maybe he'll apply to put in a bolt or two, for those less fond of sparse, questionable gear on 5.9 ground.

Walk off around back.

4 out of 5 stars good eye, sean!

Sean was skeptical about there being good routes by the falls, but I was both persistent, and lazy about heading to Elk Slabs. After the cruise up Casual Corner, Sean found this rad little route on the descent. It's got decent, if small pro for the crux (2 green aliens below the roof) and sparse pro over the easier ground above. Rock is rough and lichenated but actually seemed pretty solid. All in all, a very fun route and a fine finish to a great weekend.
