Description:

FA: Terry and Mark, Beautiful splitter but only 25 feet tall. Goes fingers to offwidth. From Elk slabs this looks like an aid-line seam or a rope hanging down a vaguely egg-shaped boulder sitting way out on the big spine jutting SW away from the summit dome, across the canyon on your left. Approach from the summit dome is a scramble down this spine, which is just north of Fox Canyon and the Foxy Lady/Yankee Bitch slot. Cool Exposure!

Probably the most exposed climb at the motherlode. Although the crack is only 25 ft, it feels like your topping out 500 ft above the valley floor.

followed berkly on what we thought was an FA - 'cause this baby didn't seem like any 5.9! He jammed all the way - better for placing pro - but I got up on the lip and laybacked it, which made it easy but still lots of fun.
