Description:
Climb original route til the ledge, then climb the face left of the watermark. Utilizing the crack in the watermark. If you lead this variation, the runout from the ledge to the crack leaves the potential for a nasty fall. I gave the route a 5.9 since I dynoed the first large left hand hold left of the watermark. If you can smear it, you may think it is a 5.8.

damn i was hoping berk was the first*
I seconded X on this ballsy line - the runout is over the crux with a nasty ledge-swing in store for whoever don't make it. * not that anything on upper scott could really be a first, as it's too easy to access and folk have been climbing it too long! PS I didn't dyno squat and I'd still give it 5.9 for the couple of dicey moves between the horizontal for feet, and the next decent hands - and then they're decent, but not great.

Dyno ramma
Climbed Pile Driver mostly with the right side of my body in the flake. Once I made it to the top of Pile driver, I traversed over with my feet inside the crack past the watermark. Once I was there, I struggled trying to smear it up, so I dyno'd the large left hand then stuck my right the crack. Climbed up a bit more then had to dyno a better right hand placement in the crack. Then simple climbing out.
