If you want to have an easy yet a bit challenging climb at times then climb Brokentop. South Sister is another easy climb but 100's ascend it each weekend. It is madness on the trial. I went to brokentop this last summer, camped in my Westy Vanagon and set out for top with two other buds. The clouds rolled in and we didn't make it to top because the top is a little hard and not worth it if is starts pouring rain on us. The hike in is easy. The top is maybe a touch of climbing with some steep lava rock slopes where rock slides will be more than normal. Be careful if you go up there. A great glacier near the top with ice cold water than tastes like all water should taste... nothing.
