| There exists some great basalt outside of Bend. With a mixture of bouldering and trad leads from 5.4-5.10, the Badlands are a great respite from Smith. |

| Directions: | From Bend take Highway 20 east for 18 miles. There will be a paved road on your left (or north). Continue on the road for a mile and make a left onto Road 4. Continue on Road 4 until you see the cliffs. |
