Rattlesnake Crags
About Rattlesnake Crags:
| This area is kind of out of the way but has very good climbing on routes up to about 100 feet on welded tuff. Similar to the rock at Smith Rock. Very grippy. In 1998 there were close to 100 bolted routes. To find the place, you have to get a guide book at McKenzie Outfitters in Medford or at The Ashland Outdoor Store in Ashland. The area is out of the way but the only reasonably good climbing area with a good quantity and quality of routes. It is also very deserted. |
