About Mocanaqua Areas:

Shickshinny, the town of Mocanaqua is home to five great climbing areas.
The Main Wall, Paradise, The Rambo Wall, The Library, and the Unit Cliffs. Thanks to the Access Fund, climbing has been really opened up and developed. Definately worth the trip if you are in the area! The land is owned by the Earth Conservancy and climbing is allowed. Please clean up after yourselves though. Though owned by the Earth Conservancy, the land is managed by the PA Game Comission, which does not allow camping. The nearest campground is Council Cup Campground, which has both tent and RV sites available. It is located about 10-15 minutes from the Mocanaqua areas. |

| Directions: | To the Main Wall: From US 11, Cross the bridge into Mocanaqua. Follow 239 into town to where 239 makes a 90 turn to the right; go straight on SR 3004 instead of following 239. The parking area is up a mile or so on the left immediately off the road before the "s turns". The lot only holds a few cars. The trail is immediately on the right of the little parking lot. The Main Wall cliff parallels the road here and is quite close to the road, but nicely screened by the trees. |
