About North Summit Climbing Gym:

13 bucks for a day pass, rental fees aren't that bad but you will go broke pretty quick climbing here and renting all the time. They have a 10 day punch pass, 1/2 year membership, and a full year membership. They might have more but I don't know off hand.

Routes range from 5.4 - 5.13

There is a great variety of routes from crimpers on a slab wall (almost no gyms have slab walls) to jug hauls on an overhanging sport wall. Climbers of all levels will be challenged by the routes.

The route setters are well versed in making even the "regulars" think before attempting a new route. And, there are always new routes - but think "quality" in the setting of the new routes rather than quantity.

And lastly, the gym is VERY well maintained and open to newcomers and the tone of the gym (set by the owners and workers) is always friendly.

As for size - the walls are 35 feet high - the lead wall about 40 feet overall. the gym is basically broken up into a toprope room, leading room, and two bouldering caves.

NS also has a few mid size boulders you can climb if you need to cool off and take a breather. You can see them when your driving up to the gym.
