Description:

Climb the left front side up a slightly overhanging inside corner to the left side of the start ledge.. Start climbing up the face through the small ledges and flakes to the top of the pillar. Brings lots of wires, medium hexes and a nut tool, to take advantage of the great protection possibilities. NOTE: Be a little weary of black snakes and racers that like to sun in the cracks. They are not poisons, but can be a real heart pumper.

Descent Options:

The best descent from Calvin’s Slabs is a slightly awkward traverse (north) over a pine needle covered gully to the top of Pillar #2 and using the rappel rings and chain.
