About Binocular Rocks Area:
A great quartzite wall offering polished smooth holds and the top section a bit over vertical. Its overall height is approximately thirty five (35) vertical feet. The story has it that the area got its name from finding a pair of binoculars around the top of the rocks. |
Approach: | From the base of the main formations (Jim’s Wall and Pillar #2), follow the trail to the left (north) around Jim’s Wall, past Angulation Wall, continue past Glen’s Roof Wall, continue past Craggy Pines Area angling left thru the scree and continue angling down and around to the base of Binocular Rocks. |
