1800 acres in the larger Philadelphia Fairmount Park system, the Wissahickon Valley follows a creek of the same name for seven miles from Chestnut Hill to Manayunk. Off its fifty miles of trails lies some great climbing. Most noteable is the historic Livesey Rock, tall enough to set-up topropes from any of the six bolt stations on top. In addition to Livesey there are numerous boulders scattered throughout the park with worthwhile boulder problems. While you may have to do a little exploring to find these routes, there are many excellent lines to be had with a little effort.
