On the down hill side of the Short Stack block there are at least 4 lines. Standing at the bottom of the rock and looking up there is a large rock (about 5' wide) that kind of hangs over the face. Climb #1 and #2 are to the left of this with #2 being immediately left of this overhanging rock on clean holds. Climb #3 is to the immediate right of the overhanging rock on less clean, slightly licheny holds finishing at the right side of the overhanging block. Decent gear can be found, though crux is hard to protect in such a way as to keep you from falling back down an onto ledge. The gear is there, just need to look a little harder. Climb #4 is about 5'-6' more to right on very dirty, but functional holds.

3 out of 5 stars 2 of 10 this day

According to Tim's old guide this one is rated 5.8, but we soon discovered that Lost Crag seems to be at least a little sandbagged (or we completely suck, which is also probably true). Nice, slightly lichen covered rock with side-pulls, pockets and laybacks leads up through overhanging rock to a good crack and the finish. Crux is placing good enough gear in the most overhanging section to keep you off the ledge. Even with a couple trips up and down (to rest) to fiddle with gear, still needed a hang just out of reach of the easier holds to complete. Good for getting a pump going, too bad it was on second climb of day. Recovered with some easier climbs after.
