About Diamond Hill:
The basic deal is that Diamond hill is Closed to Climbing and has been for over a decade now. All the property in that area including the rocks, the ski hill and the surrounding hiking trails were owned by the state until the mid-80's when the whole property was transferred to the town of Cumberland. They immediately banned all recreational activities due to the liability concerns. A shame since the hill offered climbs as tall as 70' and was easily accesible. Never climbed it with an eye on trad but it was easily Top ropeable. The link below can give you lots more beta on the area. It is worth driving by to check out if you're in the area and maybe a drive could be made to petition the town to open it up again. Other wise if you're in the area check out Joe's Rock just a couple miles north across the state line into Massachusetts.

|Directions:||From points north or south take Exit 11 off Rt 295. Go north on Rt 114 for a few miles. The cliff will be clearly visible on your right. Due to the town filling in the parking area at the base of the cliff you now have to park at the old ski area about a 1/3 of a mile further north on Diamond Hill Road and hike up the right hand most trail. It will lead you right to the top.|
