Description:

This climb the obvious well bolted low angle face behind the dam. A classic for the grade, and a great beginner lead.

4 out of 5 stars Great topout

Easy climb, my kids loved it. Topping out on the dam is pretty sweet. TCU 2 or 3 can protect the crack after the 4th bolt if you want.

4 out of 5 stars First climb in the Black Hills!

I scoped this line out yesterday while walking around the lake...looked easy and well protected. Got on it and found it was easy and a bit runout at some points. There is a spinning buttonhead out right that you can clip which gives you a little more peace of mind about 3/4 of the way up and from there you have to run it out to the chains unless you bring a nut or two. I forgot mine so it was pretty spicy! All in all, easy moves and beautiful scenery. Lots of gawkers too...

I took a man climbing that was 69 years old and had not been climbing in 30 years. He loved it...that made both of our day!
