Description:

Consider stick clipping the 1st bolt. Good holds make for a safe lead without stick clip, if nothing goes wrong. If something goes wrong, the landing is not great and you risk falling into the pit and pulling your belayer with you. Herman Munster is more physical at 5.9+; Grendel is trickier, reachy, and 5.9 for tall people.

This is a good warm up climb and a good introduction to Monster Rock.

4 out of 5 stars Another good warm-up

Pink-pointed as a warm-up. Nice, straightforward 5.9 climbing. I've never had a problem at the bottom - it's a little steep, but the holds are good. The top thins out, but again, good holds if you look for them.
