This is quite a fun route. One of my longer projects to date, this one took me a while. I 2-fell for a month, then 1-fell for a month, all while sending 4 other comparable grade projects in between. I think it was a matter of fine tuning all the details and gathering enough endurance combined with the right conditions to allow for the first send. Plan to get on this one again.
Very sustained route with virtually no rests, although some take a rest at the large stalactite after the first 10ft of climbing even though it's not necessary. Crux up high (gaining 5th bolt). Crux move doesn't feel much harder than 5.11c, but you're so pumped by the time you get to the last bolt so the moves feel ridiculous. Get on it! I'd recommend stick clipping the second bolt - not because of the fall potential, but for your rope. The rope drag would make any big fall at the top crux feel very static.
haha this is a great route with everything in it! beta intensive and will give you a pump. Always tried this route at the end of the day but finally decided to put some work into earlier and it went down after a couple tries. Pulled through the route quick to avoid fatigue.
This is the hardest send I have to date and it was a long time coming. I lost count how many times I tried this but somewhere around 10-15 tries. I finally got it after watching Cavason cruise it and after borrowing some beta from him. What can I say that people don't already know. It's a classic route, almost always has folks on it and will give you a great pump. It's short and powerful and having good beta is everything. Really is an awesome climb.
